So I totally failed at that once a day happiness meme. I would love to pick it back up, but today is definitely not that day.

I have deleted my Tilda Swinton icon because of this ridiculous apologist bullshit.. I'm so sad she signed the petition. I don't understand how people can excuse what he did because he is a gifted director. It's one of those perks of succeeding in Hollywood! Become really famous so that if you RAPE 13 YEAR OLD GIRLS you can be pitied, and not have to serve jail time! Kate Harding has a really brilliant piece about it anyone wanting more details of the situation should definitely read.

Add a little bit of politicians turning the health care reform debate into another venue in which to try to make it much more difficult for women to get abortions, and get one great day to be a woman.

So, after reading the Home Depot fic I found myself conflicted. I loved it, but couldn't help myself for feeling bad that Chris was doing all of these nice things for someone that didn't appear to him to be reciprocating (maybe it hit a little too close to home, aha), so I decided to write a companion piece that was from Zach's point of view. This, is should be said, is the first piece of fic I have finished since back in the day when I used to write Snarry. Yes, its been that long. Anyway, here it is:

Just got back from seeing Harry Potter. At 9 AM. Yes, one advantage of living where I live is that the closest movie theater starts showing at 9 on weekends. It was blissfully free of people. I would totally see a 9 AM movie again!

WOOT. I almost cannot believe that this has actually happened! I kept thinking one of the reporters on CNN was going to suddenly stop and say, "Just kidding! The election groundhog saw its shadow, so it's going to be another 4 years of a Republican president."

Now I just hope Prop 8 doesn't pass. *crosses fingers* That's the only other thing I could wish for. ESPECIALLY SINCE VA WENT BLUE!!!1!!! I never thought that would happen! *twirls*

We just got cable and internet set up in the house!

I am happy for two reasons:

1)I can watch the SGA episode tomorrow without having to download it!
2)I don't have to steal internet from my neighbors. For some reason, my computer, and only my computer, was not able to steal the internet from our neighbors from most parts of the house. I had to put my computer up to the windows, and when that stopped working sit against the screen of our open door, and when that stopped working sit on the front stoop and when that stopped working sit in a lawn chair and periodically move around the yard to pick up the strongest signal. It was very inconspicuous, let me tell you. But now I can be online in my bed! In the bathroom! In the laundry room! Even in my closet!

So excited!

So Jared and Sandy are no longer engaged. I think both her and Jared are awesome people, and despite my fictional love of Jared and Jensen, this has made me realize that I didn't actually want his real life relationship to end! Or at least take a serious step back. (This is good to know.) I am really bummed, because I felt like fandom was just getting to know and appreciate her, and now she's like your friend's awesome ex that you can't hang out with anymore without immense levels of awkward.

Some part of me is convinced that this is the result of Jared/Jensen OTP fannish force at work here. I am disturbed and impressed by this thought.

You know when you're almost about to fall asleep and then something happens and you don't? And then you spend the next couple of hours insomnia-fuzzy waiting for the next sleep window to drift by? And then you get really grumpy?
